Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has fired the top two officials at the National Intelligence Council, weeks after the council wrote an assessment that contradicted President Donald Trump’s rationale for invoking the Alien Enemies Act and deporting alleged Venezuelan gang members without due process.
This is unacceptable.
At this rate there will be nothing but Trump loyalists in government, willing to do his bidding, regardless of the consequences to the country.
Every department that protects our national security with clear-eyed, reality-based assessments of threats is being decimated. Years of experience is being told to hit the road.
When will this purge in the name of rooting out deep-state actors be stopped?
