AI Must Be Regulated & Slowed

AI is a poorly understood and rapidly developing technology with enormous risks, yet Trump has refused to join other global leaders in regulating the development of this potentially deadly technology in the wake of the dire warnings issued by Anthropic's AI research team. Data centers are accelerating climate change and the technology itself is primarily being used by bad actors at this point to create digital havoc around the world. We MUST slow down the development of this technology. The US must join the rest of the world in agreeing to regulate AI development and exercise caution in its application. 70% of Americans recently polled as being more afraid than excited about AI- the people don't want this, and we don't want to watch the world burn in order to have it. Congress must legislate to protect humanity.
