Support End Crypto Corruption Act - Our Democracy is Not For Sale

Today I’m writing on a very serious matter: I urge you to support the End Crypto Corruption Act recently introduced in the Senate, because the other bill introduced doesn’t do enough to rein in this style of corruption. In point of fact, the most corrupt president in our history is using the mostly unregulated crypto industry to enrich himself. We cannot let Donald Trump put our national security and consumers at risk so he can make money off the Office of the Presidency. Our democracy must not be for sale. The use of cryptocurrency by elected officials for personal gain poses a serious threat to the integrity of our democracy. It enables individuals seeking influence to directly enrich these public servants, creating unacceptable conflicts of interest that undermine the trust placed in government to act in the best interests of the people. The End Crypto Corruption Act is a crucial step towards eliminating this avenue for corruption by prohibiting the President, Vice President, senior executive officials, Members of Congress, and their families from issuing, endorsing, or financially benefiting from crypto assets like meme coins and stablecoins. This legislation would safeguard our national security, protect consumers, and uphold the fundamental principle that public office must not be exploited for private gain. I urge you to support the End Crypto Corruption Act and take a stand against the insidious spread of cryptocurrency-fueled corruption at the highest levels of government.
