The Trump Administration Cares Nothing For Our Health - Demand They Resign

I am a constituent and I am angry. I have just learned that cut backs in Cancer Research damaged at least 160 active and important projects designed to save lives. I learned that because the Trump administration cares nothing for people in Africa and elsewhere they withdrew funding from WHO, dissolved the US Agency for International Development (USAID), made cutbacks at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and is in the process of reducing the total health aid it gives to DRC and Uganda, the countries at the center of the EBOLA epidemic where over 1400 are infected and more than 400 died. I just learned that because Trump’s government made Medical Choice for childhood vaccinations a key healthcare component, at least three children died of measles and there were about 4300 cases of measles and at least 250 hospitalizations - ALL OF WHICH WERE PREVENTABLE. Except the government didn't think it was important. Screwworm is now infecting cattle - something that hasn't happened since 1960 because Trump didn’t pay Panama to continue generating and releasing sterile flies. Trump’s cutting back of ocean monitoring has also been a disaster. It was previously used to identify conditions in which Vibrio, the flesh eating bacteria grow and now we have active cases of Vibrio on the east Coast. This kills 20% of those infected. Even the CDC has announced that a freeze on foreign aid disrupted international malaria prevention efforts, and new federal guidance in May warned that the U.S. is vulnerable to the reintroduction of the infectious disease. This administration cares nothing for the health of people. I call on President Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and their entire cabinet to resign and I want you to do the same in public. We need people in charge of the government who actually care about people and are not willing to let them die needlessly.
