DON’T MESS WITH MY VOTE

Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas. You don’t need me to tell you that you’re on the wrong side of history, and democracy, with your vote to pass election reform measures in Texas based on lies. But I will anyway. Because, at the moment anyway, I am allowed that freedom. This is part of the continuing power-play to rule the country by any means necessary. Even thought the majority of the country does not want what you offer. So this attempted coup in the form of voting concern fools no one. Businesses are not happy. Texans are not happy. Voters everywhere are not happy. And if the system were not already rigged to your benefit in so many places, you would not be happy either because you would be out of a job. Time, and history, will tell. Your efforts to take our constitutionally-mandated rights away from a constituency you claim to work for, will not stand. “Pressed by Democrats Thursday evening about whether the bill proposed to fix a system that they said isn’t broken, Rep. Briscoe Cain, the Republican author of the House version of the bill, agreed Texas elections were safe and fair overall. Still, Mr. Cain said “We don’t need to wait for bad things to happen” in order to make elections more secure.” That’s a good one. You might make it harder to vote, but that just energizes. It won’t deter. Or defeat. Voters will do that.
