End the Iran war now and stop authorizing funding for it. This conflict has already cost American taxpayers $103 billion in its first 120 days — more than triple the $30 billion OMB Director Russell Vought told the House Appropriations Committee. Days before that testimony, Vought signed a request for $88 billion in supplemental funding, including $72 billion for the war effort. That's not a budget. That's a blank check.
Unlike every major American war of the last century, there is no plan to pay for this one. WWI, WWII, and the Korean War all came with tax measures to fund the fight. This administration has offered nothing. Nearly $47 billion has already gone to missiles, interceptors, and bombs, and $20 billion more to damaged and destroyed military assets. My family and every other working family in this country will be left holding the bill. Vote against any further war funding until there is a credible, transparent plan to pay for it.
