An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Reject bill undermining checks and balances, judicial independence

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

Stop enabling the executive branch's authoritarian power play by rejecting Senator Mike Lee's bill to limit judicial review over presidential actions. This measure poses a grave threat to the system of checks and balances integral to American democracy. Allowing the executive to operate unchecked, without meaningful oversight from the judicial branch, would dangerously concentrate power in a way the Framers explicitly warned against. Upholding judicial authority to scrutinize potential overreach is vital to safeguarding individual rights and liberties from any single branch's excessive accumulation of control. Protect the independence of the judiciary and the rule of law.
