An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Reject the Big Brutal Bill. Vote NO on H.R.1 - One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Please Reject the Big Brutal Bill I am writing as a concerned Pennsylvanian about the legislation being promoted as the "One Big Beautiful Bill." Despite its branding, the bill proposes broad changes that would undermine essential services and protections for people across our state. It affects nearly every aspect of public life: healthcare access, immigration policy, civil rights enforcement, non profit funding, education funding, labor protections, and environmental safeguards. Many of the bill’s provisions echo Project 2025, a sweeping and extreme agenda that prioritizes power and control over public good. The bill’s vague and discretionary language will create confusion, harm nonprofits and local governments, and open the door to selective enforcement that leaves many Pennsylvanians vulnerable. This is not thoughtful reform. It is a coordinated rollback of critical infrastructure, especially for communities already at risk. I urge you to vote no on this legislation. Pennsylvania deserves better.
