An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Love is love; murder is murder.

Promoting the execution of LGBTQ individuals is an abhorrent violation of human rights that hearkens back to the darkest chapters of history. Such hateful rhetoric fuels violence, discrimination, and trauma within the LGBTQ community. We must condemn this dangerous stance in the strongest terms as it goes against our nation's core values of equality and justice for all. Policies and laws should protect vulnerable groups, not persecute them based on who they are. I urge you to clearly and forcefully reject these calls for violence and instead advocate for inclusion, compassion and human dignity.
