Donald Trump must be impeached and removed immediately. This is not a debate, this is the downfall of democracy.
Judges at all levels, to include a unanimous supreme court verdict, ruled that he must return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and yet, he refuses. Not only does he openly defy the court, but he’s doubled down on threats to send American-born citizens to his concentration camp, too. That’s what CECOT is. A concentration camp. Every day that Congress refuses to act is a day that more people are left for dead there. El Salvador refused Senator Van Hollen’s visit with Abrego Garcia, meaning that Trump is purposefully sending people where Congress cannot reach them.
Enough is enough, and “enough” happened on January 20th. This is life and death, not just for people, but for the very moral core of this nation, and for the republic on which it stands.
I call on Congress to immediately introduce articles of impeachment. I also call on each congressperson to loudly and publicly demand Abrego Garcia’s release. Until the articles are voted on, Democrats in both chambers must stop all other proceedings. Grind the cogs of the machine to a halt until you can flush the orange rust out.
There is no compromise anymore. You cannot politic your way around this: Either Trump goes, or America does. Pick your side.
