Halt Proposed Development Project Threatening Moab's Environment and Community The proposed development project on a sandbar along the Colorado River in Moab, Utah, is a matter of grave concern. The plan to construct 580 luxury housing units and a business park on the floodplain threatens the natural environment and exacerbates the existing affordable housing crisis. Despite potential risks of flooding, property loss, and destruction of wildlife habitat, the project has been approved to re-grade the floodplain and establish its own sewer district. A petition against this development has already received over 1,200 local signatures and more than 13,000 from visitors and former residents. It is crucial to halt this project to preserve Moab's natural beauty and outdoor activities. Therefore, it is requested tO reconsider the approval of this development and prioritize the interests of the local community and the environment.
