An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Reevaluate Foreign Policy: Prioritize Human Lives and Peace

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The self-immolation of active-duty U.S. airman Aaron Bushnell, in protest of U.S. support for the conflict in Gaza, is a damning indictment of our current foreign policy. His desperate act, a horrifying testament to the depth of his conviction, underscores the profound discontent felt by many U.S. citizens. The conflict's staggering death toll, in the thousands, is a stain on our nation's conscience. It is high time we put human lives and peace above political alliances. Therefore, an immediate and thorough reassessment of our foreign policy is demanded, particularly our support for actions causing mass casualties. This is not a retreat into isolationism, but a demand for a more humane and equitable approach to international relations.
