Protect vulnerable families, prevent child homelessness in squatter laws

It's crazy that we suddenly care so much about squatters when over 100 people died from floods that the government hasn't done anything about. The new anti-squatter laws protect property owners, but they could make more kids homeless by kicking out single moms with no other place to go. Protecting property is important, but not if it means more kids end up on the streets. Why aren't we as worried about all those people who died in the floods? Instead of rushing these new laws, we should focus on solving bigger problems that cost people their lives.
