If this was about self defense, 99.4% of the victims of Israel’s attacks would be Hamas, and 0.6% would be civilians, but those numbers are reversed - because Hamas is CLEARLY not the target.
If you refuse to do the bare minimum to help Palestinians, please resign and do not run for office again, because I need representatives with integrity.
- Demand an immediate ceasefire, and condition further financial and military aid upon it. If that means threatening sanctions against Israel, so be it, regardless of the Anti-BDS laws 60% of our states have signed.
- Demand that ALL humanitarian aid be let through the border to Egypt so these people can receive food, water, medicine, shelter, and fuel they need to survive.
- Negotiate with Egypt to allow more refugees and wounded to be evacuated.
- Demand that Israel retreat from all hospitals and refugee camps, and refrain from further attacks.
- Demand that Israel stop bombing and firing on the very safe routes they told Palestinians to use to evacuate, and stop shooting those who need to rest, or who turn around to check on the loved ones behind them.
- Vote NO on the GAZA Act to ban Palestinian refugees from receiving visas to the United States.
- Do not authorize Biden’s requested funding to Israel.
- Do not perpetuate the lie that Israel is defending itself, and call this what it is: war crimes.
- Do not accept further donations from Israel-backed PACs.
We don’t have to be an accomplice to Palestinian genocide.
We don’t have to stay committed to our mistakes indefinitely.
We don’t have to perpetuate Israeli propaganda.
We can, and must, do more. Genocide is not self defense.
