An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress

Emissions standards rollback threatens habitat, public health

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

The administration's reckless efforts to weaken vehicle emissions standards are an irresponsible abandonment of moral and environmental responsibility, indiscriminately endangering the global environment. Automotive pollution is a major contributor to climate change, causing increasingly severe weather events that kill people and displace entire communities. Each day, countless vulnerable people suffer from breathing unhealthy air from transportation emissions, worsening respiratory illnesses. This decision to prioritize industry profits over science and public welfare sacrifices environmental protection and public health for greed. Defying the urgent need to reduce emissions to prevent an uninhabitable Earth for future generations is a rejection of our responsibility to address the climate crisis. Passionate advocacy and strong support for strict emissions standards aligned with scientific consensus is humanity's duty in confronting climate change.
