Impeach Trump now: uphold the rule of law

Trump's telephone call to the Georgia Secretary of State and his attorney was a criminal act with clear criminal intent. He persisted on asking for votes to be "found" so that he would win the state, even after being told that the data made that impossible. This attempt at election interference appears to be both a state and a federal crime. Certainly it rises to the level of an impeachable high crime and misdemeanour. Or rather, *yet another* high crime and misdemeanour. Because Trump has flouted his oath of office and lied to the American people daily. I ask the house to impeach Donald Trump forthwith and the senate to vote to remove him from office. The matter is clear. The tape of the phone call has been made public. It's irrelevant that Trump has less than three weeks left in office. The rule of law and our democracy demand action. We are supposed to be a nation of laws; do not permit the president to put himself above the law. Impeach now.
