Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
I hope the concerted efforts by Republicans in the Congress to negate the events of January 6, 2021 fail spectacularly. Events that will show up in all American history books going forward.
Fails as the GOP should for such a flagrant power struggle at the expense of truth for the American people.
Kevin McCarthy has chosen to vote against forming a bipartisan committee to investigate a singular horrific event in our history. A committee he personally tailored for your party. He authorized pursuit of a bipartisan agreement. He put forth demands. They were met. Then he throws all the hard work under the bus. Is this what a party leader does to those who do the work he asks of them?
Those are not the actions of any kind of leader.
Now I read that Mitch McConnell will also vote no in the Senate. Putting his weight against truth as well. Putting the Senators in his party in an awful position.
Do you realize how this all looks to America? And if you think we are not paying attention, you are mistaken.
"Republicans can let their constituents know are they on the side of truth or do they want to cover up for the insurrections and for Donald Trump?"
Simple question. How will you answer?
