An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect constitutional rights, reform deportation practices

16 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

This recent incident involving the swift deportation of three young American citizens from Louisiana raises grave concerns about potential violations of constitutional rights and due process. Summarily removing citizens from the country without any legal proceeding or opportunity to make their case is an alarming abuse of power that undermines the foundational principles of our justice system. Such actions are not only inhumane but also illegal, flouting established laws and judicial precedents. Donald Trump and his administration are in violation of their oath of office and must be impeached now. We must adamantly reject these draconian measures that betray American values of fairness and equal protection under the law. Firm action is needed to address this injustice, safeguard civil liberties, and uphold the rule of law by ensuring that all citizens, regardless of age or circumstance, receive the due process protections guaranteed by the Constitution.
