Preserve clean energy tax credits for our pockets and the planet!

There are so many reasons to preserve the clean energy tax credits: job creation and economic growth, energy innovation and global competitiveness, protecting our environment and fighting climate change are but a few. But as your constituent, I am urging you to protect them for a more personal reason -- their impact on energy cost and electricity rates. A recent analysis found that getting rid of the tax credits would increase American household and business energy costs by $25 billion a year in 2030 and $50 billion a year in 2035. This translates to energy bill increases of up to $160 for the average American household in 2030 -- not to mention electricity rate increases of 9% -- at a time when both are already at an all-time high. With Trump’s outrageous tariffs contributing to rising costs for everyone, our pocketbooks are already suffering. Stand up for your constituents and the communities you serve! You have an obligation to protect the clean energy tax credits and serve the interests of the people who elected you. If you do not fulfill your obligations to us, we have an obligation to vote you out. And we will.
