Require ICE Agents to Identify Themselves — Ban Masks and Misrepresentation

I urge you to introduce and support state legislation requiring ICE agents operating in our state to clearly identify themselves as federal agents, prohibit face coverings that conceal their identity, and ban misrepresentation as state or local police. When masked or unidentified agents present themselves simply as “police,” it creates fear, confusion, and serious public safety risks. Residents have a right to know who is exercising government authority over them, and states have a responsibility to prevent deception and ensure transparency. Please act to ensure that no law enforcement agency operates anonymously or misleadingly in our state.
