Uphold the constitution and the rule of law, impeach Trump!

I write to you today as a concerned constituent from Santee, California, appalled by the President’s willful disregard of a clear Supreme Court ruling. When our highest court speaks, that decision becomes the supreme law of the land. To permit any president—under any circumstances—to defy that verdict is to erode the very foundations of our Republic. You took an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States.” That oath binds you to the rule of law and to the American people, not to any individual in power. We depend on you and your colleagues to be guardians of those ideals: to speak truth, demand accountability, and stand firm against any abuse of executive authority. Imagine if the shoe were on the other foot: if a Democratic president brazenly ignored the Court’s mandate, you would be among the first to call for swift investigation and impeachment. That double standard undermines faith in our institutions. Upholding the Constitution must never be a matter of partisan convenience. I urge you to appeal to your better angels—to draw upon the integrity and service that have defined your career—and to lead the effort to hold this President accountable. Launch the necessary inquiries, enforce the checks and balances our Founders put in place, and, if this defiance continues, begin impeachment proceedings. Our democracy demands nothing less. Thank you for your service and for standing with the Constitution when it matters most. P.S. Remember, it was the GOP that deciding to hold Nixon accountable for the watergate scandal. This is your party’s moment in history to stand up against facism and for the rule of law.
