An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Jessica Plichta Arrested for Peaceful Protest- Constitutional Violation

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

A woman in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jessica Plichta, was arrested on camera during an interview with ABC13 on Saturday, 01/03/26, at a protest against the abduction of Nicolas Maduro by the Trump regime. She was arrested for exercising her constitutional right to peaceful protest. This is a constitutional violation, and it must be condemned and corrected immediately, by Congress if necessary. Where are the constitutional watchdogs? Why has Congress stopped defending the constitution? When did we decide that if the President discards the constitution we may as well just all go along with it and allow local governments to do the same? Stop the erasure of our constitutional rights and protect the citizens of our country, even if the threat is coming from the President. Jessica Plichta has had her rights violated by the government, and restitution must be made.
