An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Reopen the Gun Violence Prevention Office

10 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I’m your constituent and I’m writing to demand that Congress act on gun violence NOW. Australia saw a horrific mass shooting this weekend and their government is already in action, preparing a special session in which they will tighten their gun laws. What are we doing here? 46,000 people die from gun violence every year in our country and Congress keeps refusing to act. It’s unconscionable. We want an assault weapons ban. We want universal background checks. We want safe storage laws. And we want the office of Gun Violence Prevention, which Trump shut down in his first week in office, to be reopened immediately. Nothing less will do.
