No more American weapons for Israel’s war against Gaza

I was appalled to learn that on April 1 — the very day that Israel attacked a World Central Kitchen aid convoy in Gaza — the United States had finalized another deal to supply weapons to Israel. More than one Israeli government official have acknowledged that they cannot continue these attacks on the people of Gaza without this supply of American weapons. It requires no stretch of the imagination to determine that American weaponry were probably involved in the attack. This is unconscionable and must stop.
I am writing to urgently request your support in rejecting any new military aid packages to Israel and advocating for an immediate ceasefire. As your constituent, I stand with the Council on American-Islamic Relations and a growing number of members of Congress in opposing the provision of U.S. weapons in Israel's genocidal actions in Gaza, particularly in light of the attack on the World Central Kitchen convoy. We must prioritize peace and humanitarian efforts over military escalation.
With Congress reconvening on Tuesday, April 9, I urge you to take a stand for justice and human rights by refusing to approve new weapons transfers to Israel.
Vote "NO" on any new aid package.
DO NOT SIGN any discharge petition.
Our collective actions can make a difference in ending the violence and promoting a peaceful resolution to the crisis. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue.
