I just wanted to thank you for lifting the mask mandate and telling parents of children under twelve that their children's lives don't matter. Thank goodness there are wise men such as yourself willing to make the hard decisions to sacrifice the least of us so the Karens among us can doff their masks and show the world their new lipstick colors. Sure, they may be carrying a disease that could kill our defenseless children, but I mean, at least we can get a suntan without lines around our mouths and noses, #amiright? Most of all though- thanks for giving parents the strength to straight-talk our kids: "Sure son, your mask isn't protecting you anymore, but the Governor says your life isn't worth as much as voters' headed off to the polls this year, so suck it up and suck it in, son. Elections mean sacrifice, and Governor Murphy's sacrifice comes in a size 6X kids."
If the sarcasm above hasn't been obvious, please allow me to break it down for you, sir. Governor, I've attended your events, canvassed my neighborhood for you, and casted my votes. I've supported and even defended your decisions this past term, and I've lost friends over that fact. And now you're telling me, and others like me, that we were fools. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. The support you've come to count on from myself and my immediate circle is falling away, and I admit it will be a struggle in the booth this election, because I seriously do not know if I can cast a vote for you- a vote against my own children.
