I'm writing today to demand the rejection of the federal government's "Wasteful and Inappropriate Service Reduction" (WISeR) program ahead of a pilot set to roll out in New Jersey in 2026. This program will use artificial intelligence to decide whether Medicare patients get certain treatments. An algorithm, not one's doctor, will be able to say yes or no to care, and private tech companies will actually get a kickback for every denied procedure. The rejection of healthcare claims should not be incentivized by corporate interests. Autocrats are weaponizing technology to strip away rights from the vulnerable. This is unacceptable. Please do what you can to stop it!
