An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stop DOGE from accessing taxpayer private data NOW!!

12 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

DOGE's efforts to gain access to sensitive taxpayer data from the IRS systems are deeply concerning and represent an unacceptable breach of privacy. The tax information of millions of Americans, including social security numbers, financial details, and employment records, must be protected from unauthorized access and misuse. Providing this team with broad access to IRS systems poses grave risks of exploitation, whether intentional or through negligence. No political agenda justifies violating the confidentiality that taxpayers rightly expect when entrusting the government with their personal and financial information. This attempted overreach of authority must be stopped immediately to safeguard the public's trust and prevent any potential abuse of this private data. Swift action is needed to revoke any access privileges granted and implement stronger safeguards to secure IRS systems from intrusion by unqualified personnel. The sanctity of taxpayer privacy cannot be compromised.
