I don’t have specific answers, but based on years of observations, why not have each Democratic caucus commit to different types of tasks and DAILY, for the long term, publicly address them, for example:
“1. Expose the travesty of claiming Lisa Cook committed mortgage fraud when Trump is a CONVICTED FELON on 34 counts of fraud, including mortgage fraud (over- and under-stating property values).
“2. Bring a firehose of bills/resolutions to the floor, for example, prohibiting Congress from ceding its powers to the Executive Branch—-it’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL. It doesn’t matter if the bills pass or even are debated, because they will bring attention to issues while delaying or obstructing other unconstitutional actions.
“3. Expose the waste, fraud, and abuse by the Trump Administration, such as the costs of Trump’s golfing and Vance’s 8 vacations in 7 months or having the National Guard serve as gardeners in DC, taking those Guardsmen away from their families and jobs, when Trump’s only emergency is his power grab.
“4. Expose the deliberate unconstitutional actions and cruelty of Stephen Miller, Tom Homan, and Kristi Noem who have masked, unidentified marauders in unmarked vehicles kidnap people off the streets then deny those victims due process of law.
“5. Repeatedly reveal what other world leaders are saying about our country to expose Trump’s lies about how respected he is, how he’s brought the world together, how many wars he’s stopped, and how great his unconstitutional tariffs are.
“6. Replace Schumer and Jeffries as party leaders because each is totally unsuited for, and ineffective in, these times—-this is not the 1990s. (This is critical.)
“7. (And this is critical.) Put your pride aside and collaborate with both strategists who know Trump, his cohorts, and/or former Republican caucuses as well as more traditional (actual) conservatives to develop your approach and plans for this fight—perhaps, among them, consult with Miles Taylor, Olivia Troye, Stuart Stevens, Joe Walsh, Mary Trump, Les Parnas. (Parnas actually worked so closely with Trump that he knows how Trump works with Putin and others.)
“Remember repetition matters. Repetition is effective; repetition helped move Republicans into power.
“The Democratic Party reminds me of Will Rogers’s saying? ‘I don’t belong to any organized political party, I’m a Democrat.’
“Please, will Democrats from all caucuses organize as a party to be aggressive, strategic, tactical, and effective in opposing and stopping our decline into authoritarianism before it’s too late? LEAD the effort.
“You have a unique opportunity to BE HEROES! PLEASE step up!” You can’t expect we will have an election in 2026 and you can’t expect you will win without some changes! People are tired of the inaction and status quo
