An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Revoke private real estate access to HUD systems

24 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Recent reporting from news organizations raises significant concerns about potential conflicts of interest and misuse of sensitive data at HUD due to the involvement of DOGE operatives from private real estate and mobile home companies. Granting extensive system access to individuals with ties to for-profit enterprises that could benefit from insider information on housing programs and expenditures poses unacceptable risks. To safeguard the privacy and integrity of HUD's systems and data, I urge you to immediately revoke the access privileges granted to these DOGE personnel from Kukun, TCC Management, and any other private companies. Their presence compromises public trust and enables mishandling of confidential records on housing voucher recipients, facility locations, and expenditure details that should never be exploited for commercial gain. Protecting the vulnerable populations served by HUD must be the overriding priority. Please act swiftly to eliminate these conflicts by removing external parties with vested interests from accessing HUD's critical information systems.
