Don’t End the COVID-19 National Emergency!

Now's NOT the time to end the National COVID Emergency. Please vote Nay and advocate AGAINST the passage in the House of SJR63 - A joint resolution relating to a national emergency declared by the President on March 13, 2020!
Lifting the emergency declaration, during a pandemic of current and future immune escape variants (expected to surge every winter), could cause up to 15 million people to lose Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), a reduction in SNAP benefits, and impact COVID-19 vaccine accessibility. Passing the Resolution to end the COVID-19 National Emergency will ultimately harm Americans.
Instead, what is needed from Congress is to continue and vastly increase the protection of those most vulnerable and at risk. This includes using the emergency federal stockpile to open thousands of public schools, library, transit and workplace sites for free COVID-19 testing, free N95 masks, free rapid home tests, and free COVID vaccines.
