Corp money out of politics - NY needs our own SB 2471

I’m writing today to strongly urge you to pass legislation similar to Hawaii’s SB 2471, removing the privilege of corporations to spend unlimited money to influence elections. The past year has made it abundantly clear that America has become an oligarchy where the law no longer applies to anyone with enough money. I believe getting corporate money out of the election process is the first step towards hopefully restoring the rule of law in this country. Don’t wait and see or hold out for a Supreme Court ruling. Pass this legislation now and start the process to make the law apply to the rich.
