An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Utility Crisis in Houston

4 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I am appealing to you to step up for the people of Houston and hold CenterPoint Energy accountable for their lax maintenance and failure to upgrade the electrical equipment in Houston. The infrastructure could be made more robust, but nobody is requiring CenterPoint to undertake improvements. Do not expect us to accept excuses and inaction any longer. The citizens of the third-largest city in this country should not have to live like they are in a third-world country! Regulation is not a bad thing. Regulation is PROTECTION. Protect the people of Houston and get to work, requiring CenterPoint to provide better infrastructure and response for future emergencies.
