We need a maximum wage. The income of a company comes from the labor of it's workers. Despite this our government is forced to subsidize these companies when they don't pay workers enough to live, all while pocketing record "profits" and paying execs vast salaries. These execs are not doing more labor than the workers businesses rely on to exist. They should not be making millions or billions of dollars while the people earning that money starve.
We need to cap company income as a ratio to the lowest paid worker. Nobody in a company should recieve compensation greater than 10 times that if the lowest paid worker. If they want higher pay they can pay their workers more of what they earn.
Maximum wage bypasses some of the issues with minimum wage. It doesn't put any extra burden on small companies and start ups. It increases wages of workers more than minimum wage. We know that higher wages leads to a stronger economy and higher tax revenue.
Workers deserve to keep the fruits of their labor. We need a maximum wage.
