An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures (Ohio only)

I do not appreciate your thinly veiled censorship efforts in H.B. 96.

Vague commands are a favored tactic of dictators and mob bosses alike because you end up getting more than you asked for without looking like you asked for it. That's what we're getting with this veiled censorship law masquerading as an age verification law. In a budget bill. A. Budget. Bill. Shame on you. This law was so bad, it failed previously, so it was hidden inside the budget and you gave it your blessing. The verbiage is so vague, it will create burdens on companies and it also egregiously violates the privacy of Ohioans. What constitutes content harmful to minors? Gun stores? Explicit music on music streaming services? M-rated video games? Rated-R movies? This law you have forced upon us is antithetical to the open and free Internet. You know it. Fix the law or remove it.
