Oppose the Travel Management Rule Revision — Protect National Forest Lands

Block the Trump administration's proposed revision to the Travel Management Rule. It’s just opening up our wild spaces to wanton destruction. Flipping the policy from "closed unless designated open" to "open unless designated closed" would effectively turn our national forests into a free-for-all for ATVs, dirt bikes, and e-bikes. This change includes no meaningful protection for the habitats and wildlands that make these places beautiful and worth visiting in the first place. The existing rule was never about restricting access — it was about making access sustainable. Allowing motorized vehicles to spread across undesignated terrain means more user-created routes, more habitat damage, and less oversight. It’s also going to result in trash, injuries and wildfire starts. This is happening alongside the administration's push to repeal the Roadless Rule, which environmental advocates warn would increase wildfire risk, contradicting the administration's own data. These two moves together represent a serious and coordinated rollback of public land. Hold hearings. Block with legislation. Thank you.
