Block the DOJ's Dangerous Rollback of Gun Background Check Rules

The Department of Justice just reinstated the gun show loophole, allowing unlicensed firearms dealers to sell guns without running background checks on buyers. This is a direct threat to public safety, and I need you to use every tool available to block it — through legislation, oversight hearings, or legal challenge.
This is in direct opposition to what the vast majority of voters want. While much more needs to be done on gun regulation, this was one area of progress.
The Biden administration closed this loophole in 2024 by requiring anyone selling firearms for profit to obtain a federal license and conduct background checks, regardless of venue.
Now, “Acting Attorney General’ Todd Blanche reversed that in what he called the "most comprehensive regulatory reform package in ATF history." What it actually does is strip the only federal agency dedicated to keeping guns out of criminal hands.
John Feinblatt of Everytown for Gun Safety pointed out this rollback came four days after a shooting at the White House correspondents' dinner. That timing speaks for itself.
Background checks work. Gutting the requirement for unlicensed dealers doesn't reduce red tape — it creates a pipeline for guns to reach people who shouldn't have them.
Push back on this now. Thank you.
