An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Congressional power exists to mitigate POTUS power. Use it!

Trump keeps acting like he’s unilaterally ended a war and that Iran is helpless to defend itself. We know that international news reports tell a different story. Many of his followers seem to believe that Iran is too weak to cause direct harm to the United States, but those people are only thinking in terms of their physical range to the geographical continental U.S. What they’re not considering is the geographic locality of American owned embassies, companies, and universities. Yesterday Iran threatened to start bombing U.S. college campuses. They destroyed an American E-3G, effectively destroying millions of dollars in American ingenuity. Lives are being lost based on one man’s pride. We cannot stand by and let Trump lie to us. The war is definitely not over. He and the pentagon are prepping for a boots on the ground invasion this week. Perpetuating animosity does not cultivate peace. Make him stop now. Congressional power exists to mitigate potential damages by POTUS. Use that power for good this time!
