An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Demand U.S intervention and accountability for assaulting a U.S citizen. FREE CHRIS SMALLS!

American labor leader Chris Smalls, a U.S. citizen engaged in humanitarian aid efforts, was unjustly detained, assaulted, and discriminated against by Israeli forces while participating in an aid mission to Gaza in international waters. As the sole Black delegate, Smalls was singled out and subjected to excessive violence including choking and kicking despite posing no threat. This unacceptable mistreatment demands accountability and an immediate investigation into the incident. There must be accountability for assaulting a U.S. citizen in international waters. Smalls must be promptly released from unlawful detainment, as the U.S. government has a duty to protect citizens engaged in legitimate humanitarian work.
