An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Oppose voter suppression efforts, protect voting rights

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

The SAVE Act's requirement for documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters, particularly those from marginalized communities who may lack easy access to documents like birth certificates or passports. This undue burden violates the fundamental right to vote and disproportionately impacts people of color, the elderly, low-income individuals, and those with disabilities. Rather than erecting unnecessary barriers, we should focus efforts on expanding voter access and making the process more inclusive for all eligible citizens. I urge you to oppose this harmful legislation that threatens to suppress the votes of countless Americans. Protecting the integrity of our elections must go hand-in-hand with safeguarding the sacred right to vote.
