It’s time for our state to wage war against corruption and bribery!

It’s time to use our state bribery laws to protect our citizens from FEDERAL and CORPORATE Corruption. Trump’s corrupt move to promise $5000 to every citizen if Republicans maintain both houses after the election should be the “opening bell” for our state DA and our state legislation to start an aggressive legal war against corruption, gambling, and bribery on multiple fronts. Here are some possible options: 1. Any corporation or PAC who pays an elected official above a “reasonable” threshold (of say $500) should be brought to justice for bribery if the elected official makes any legal decision that benefits the company or PAC over other companies. (Consider the reflection pool for example). Likewise the elected official would receive the maximum penalty of the state for bribery. State Legislation could also pass a law than an elected official is removed from office BY THE STATE and the Governor must appoint someone else until the next election. 2. Any private citizen or elected official in a town, city, county, or province who receives MORE than the acceptable local rate for property, land rights, water rights, or environmental decisions should be brought to justice in the state for accepting a bribery based on laws already on the books. Likewise, any corporation or federal agency who pays the extra money should receive justice in the State courts and pay a prohibitive fine to the state, county, and township for all potential damages. Every ICE facility or Data Center or POTENTIAL ICE facility or Data Center should be investigated by the state for the possibility of breaking a corruption law or bribery law already on the books. State legislatures could bolster these laws as well to protect our citizens from Federal corruption taking place in our state. 3. Our State legislature should consider a transparency law for all elected and appointed officials in our state AND representing our state that requires that any public official must document an annual earning of what is the equivalent to the salary of any citizen in the state earning at 75% of all state citizens. Any and all funds collected beyond the state-mandated salary should be returned to the state and set aside to pay for office staff and official staff business while the elected official is in office. Any additional funds are set aside by the State for re-election purposes to be given no sooner than six months ahead of the next election. 4. Corporations and PACs can pay any extra monies to a STATE election fund to be given out to all primaried candidates equally-based on elected position as dictated by the legislature so that each candidate starts with the same amount of money. Candidates can still receive private support at no more than that $500 per donation and $5000 per year. All corporate donations are public knowledge. All private donations are made public if over a set rate dictated by state legislature. 5. All money won by a citizen or corporation in a gambling operation regarding elected or appointed officials will be taxed up to 85% and the taxes would go to the State Election Fund. All gambling laws of the state would apply to any citizen or visitor who either gambled or received gambling earnings in the state. 6. Perhaps there are more creative options. The point is that our state must defend our citizens from all forms of corruption since the federal government is no longer demonstrating lawful abiding of the Constitution with respect to corruption and bribery.
