I urge you to veto AB446/SB445. While combating antisemitism is essential, this bill risks conflating legitimate criticism of state policies—especially regarding Israel—with hate speech. Adopting the IHRA definition in law could chill free speech, harm academic freedom, and undermine advocacy for Palestinian rights. Wisconsin must protect Jewish communities without weaponizing definitions that suppress dissent. Please reject this bill and uphold our constitutional commitment to both safety and free expression.
