An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Support S.J.Res. 124 to Block Military Action Against Cuba

8 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

I'm asking you to support S.J.Res. 124, the war powers resolution that would prohibit military escalation against Cuba. Congress has a constitutional duty to authorize military action, and this resolution reasserts that authority before the administration moves forward. Military intervention in Cuba would be a catastrophic mistake. The island poses no threat to American security that justifies armed conflict. Any escalation would destabilize the region, strain our relationships with Latin American allies, and potentially draw us into a protracted conflict with no clear exit strategy. This resolution isn't about foreign policy preferences. It's about constitutional checks and balances. The executive branch cannot unilaterally commit American forces to combat without congressional approval. S.J.Res. 124 draws that line clearly. Vote yes and ensure that any decision to use military force receives the full debate and authorization it requires.
