Restore JAG Integrity, Uphold the Military Code of Conduct

Today I take pen in hand to write about the termination of top military lawyers, the Judge Advocate Generals of our armed forces by the Trump Administration. You must find a way to counter this. This is clearly a move by our rogue president to ignore ethics, remove checks and balances, and it raises grave concerns about undermining accountability. Worst of all, it enables abuse of power, possibly against US citizens. This erosion of oversight threatens core democratic principles and the rule of law that safeguard citizens' rights. What’s next? Shooting protestors with no ability to countermand illegal and immoral orders? We must uphold robust legal counsel within the armed forces: It is vital to maintain trust in our military's commitment to serving with honor, and to ensure that the armed forces operate within constitutional boundaries, not as an unrestrained instrument of this or any administration's agenda. Restoring these roles must be a priority to maintain civilian control and institutional integrity for our armed forces. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
