It’s time to remind you of something too many of you seem to have forgotten: America keeps its word. When we make a promise to defend democracy, to stand with our allies, and to push back against tyranny, we don’t get to walk away because it’s politically inconvenient or because one dictator flatters your ego.
Ukraine is fighting — bleeding — for freedom. They are standing on the front lines of democracy, and they are doing so with courage that should shame every politician in Washington who hesitates to keep our word. Vladimir Putin is not a friend of the United States. He is a war criminal, a murderer, and a thug who has invaded sovereign nations, assassinated journalists, and tried to destabilize democracies — including ours.
President Trump, you MUST stop kowtowing to Putin. Stop treating a brutal dictator like a partner. He is not an ally; he is the enemy of everything America stands for. Every time you praise him or undermine support for Ukraine, you embolden a tyrant and weaken our own standing in the world. The United States does not kneel to foreign strongmen.
And to Congress — both parties — do your job. The Constitution gives you the power to fund and support our commitments abroad. You swore an oath to defend that Constitution — not when it’s easy, not when your donors approve, but every single day. Upholding our alliances, defending democracy, and checking executive overreach are not partisan issues. They are the foundation of the Republic you swore to serve.
America’s word matters. Our promises matter. If we abandon Ukraine, we send a message to the world that the United States can no longer be trusted — and that dictators everywhere can act without consequence.
Do not betray the Constitution. Do not betray Ukraine. And do not betray the moral leadership of the United States of America.
Stand firm. Fund Ukraine. Defend democracy.
That’s your job. Do it now.
