I am writing as your constituent to urge you to use all of your authority to cut through red tape and accelerate the construction of clean energy projects before the Inflation Reduction Act tax credits expire at the end of this year.
Our state has the opportunity to lead the clean energy transition—but only if we act swiftly. We are in direct competition with neighboring states for investment, jobs, and innovation. This is a race we can—and should—win.
Please do everything in your power to clear permitting backlogs at the state, county, and local levels. Speeding up approvals for solar, wind, and battery storage projects will allow us to take full advantage of federal incentives while building a more resilient, sustainable energy future for all.
