An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Defend our republic from foreign aggressors. Uphold your oath of office.

The Trump administration's takeover of the Office of Personnel Management under Elon Musk's leadership raises grave concerns about cybersecurity risks and the violation of civil servants' privacy. Locking career federal employees out of computer systems that contain sensitive personal data on millions of government workers is an egregious overreach that threatens to compromise this information. There must be proper oversight and data protection protocols in place to safeguard against potential misuse or hacking of these vast databases holding details like social security numbers, birthdates, and home addresses. Such unilateral actions undermine principles of good governance and transparency. I urge you to intervene swiftly to restore access for qualified personnel and ensure robust security measures are implemented to secure this citizen data. Unchecked authority over federal workforce systems poses an unacceptable risk.
