Let’s Address Congress Own Culture of Sexual Harassment Right Now

I am writing to demand that you immediately address the rampant culture of sexual harassment and misconduct currently rototilling through the halls of Congress.
As reported in traditional staples like The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, TIME, and The Texas Tribune, alongside right-wing and alternative outlets like the Daily Mail, NOTUS, and Axios, Capitol Hill has effectively become a taxpayer-funded safety zone for serial predators in suits. Nearly a decade after the post-#MeToo legislative face-lift, the reality of Congress remains a dark, toxic boys' club where powerful lawmakers treat junior staffers like perks of the office rather than professionals. When the primary line of defense for young women in our nation's capital is a literal whisper network, the system isn't just failing—it is actively complicit.
Let’s call this what it is: Congress has a deeply entrenched rape culture fueled by an intoxicating cocktail of unchecked power, tribal political loyalty, and total impunity. Members abuse their staggering power over junior aides, knowing full well that a sluggish, self-policing Ethics Committee provides the ultimate bureaucratic shield. Even worse, the "resignation loophole" allows compromised politicians to simply walk away, wiping their slates clean and erasing any hope of formal accountability.
This is not a partisan issue; it is a profound moral bankruptcy that spans both sides of the aisle. It is absolutely nauseating that the individuals drafting the laws of our land are so frequently the ones breaking basic human decency behind closed doors. Leaders cannot hide behind razor-thin majorities or institutional red tape any longer.
You must fix this issue. You must fix it completely, and you must fix it now. The current environment is a national disgrace, and the public is watching to see who has the courage to clean house.
