An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures (Ohio only)

Save library funding!

Library funding. I strongly object to the proposed budget reductions in library funding. Libraries have not only been sources of reading materials and literacy programs, but over the years have evolved into resources tailored to their areas, with food assistance programs, tax preparation, job training, and employment help. The materials that libraries house have changed as well, with physical materials joined by digital products and broadband access. Taking these resources away from communities across the state will harm many of your constituents. I just don’t understand why you would consider such a negative impact on libraries. Please restore library funding to the budget.
