Investigate Iran's Water Infrastructure Attacks and Restore CISA Staffing

Demand a full public investigation into the Iranian cyberattacks on Minnesota's water utilities, and immediately restore the cybersecurity personnel gutted from CISA. Over 30 municipal water and wastewater systems were breached, boil-water notices were issued, and hackers reportedly aimed to cause loss of system pressure and contaminate the water supply. Americans have a right to know which other states are vulnerable so they can act before the next attack hits. This didn't happen in a vacuum. The mass firings at CISA left the agency that is supposed to defend critical infrastructure hollowed out, and those positions have not been filled. Joe Slowik, a former Los Alamos cybersecurity researcher, warned that "there are plenty of other sites that have the same targeted technology" and that adversaries have shown every willingness to keep striking. Drinking water is not a partisan issue. Leaving these systems exposed while refusing to rebuild our cyber defenses is a choice, and it's one that puts every American community at risk. Disclose which states face active threats, compel CISA to publicly update its advisory to name the Minnesota attacks, and restore the staffing needed to do that job. The hackers, likely tied to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, are not stopping. Neither should Congress.
