An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Enforce the Bipartisan Subpoena for Pam Bondi's Deposition

22 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

The Department of Justice cannot be allowed to shield Pam Bondi from her April 14 deposition. The bipartisan subpoena issued last month was directed at Bondi as an individual, not as a title holder. The DOJ's claim that she can dodge accountability simply because she no longer serves as Attorney General is a transparent attempt to obstruct Congress's investigation into the Epstein Files release. Five Republicans joined Democrats to issue this subpoena because the American people deserve answers about how the Justice Department handled investigative files concerning a convicted sex offender. Bondi oversaw that release, and her sudden firing does not erase her obligation to testify under oath. Chairman Comer must publicly reaffirm that this deposition will proceed and pursue contempt charges if Bondi refuses to appear. This is not a partisan issue. Rep. Nancy Mace made clear that Bondi cannot escape accountability by leaving office. The committee has the authority to compel her testimony through her personal counsel, and it must use that authority now. Anything less sends the message that officials can evade oversight by simply resigning. Hold Bondi accountable and get the truth about the Epstein investigation.
